Jacob Gershoni, LCSW, TEP is a psychotherapist in private practice at The
Psychodrama Training Institute in New York, NY, where he works with individuals,
couples and groups. He is also on the staff of Columbia Presbyterian Medical
Center. A Trainer, Educator and Practitioner (TEP) certified by the American
Association of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama, he also offers training
classes for group therapists and others interested in Action Methods in
psychotherapy.
Jacob graduated from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (1971), and the
University of Michigan (1975). His post-graduate training has been in Family
Therapy and Psychodrama. Since 1980, he has maintained an active affiliation
with two counseling services for the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transgender
community in New York City: Identity House and the Institute for Human Identity.
His employment history includes work at the Fred Finch Youth Center in Oakland,
California (1976-1977), and Queens Child Guidance Center (1979-1990).
